World Relief is a faith-based international relief and development organization based in Baltimore, MD with projects located in countries throughout the world. In the US, World Relief acts as a voluntary resettlement agency (volag) for the Department of State's Refugee Resettlement Program . This means that, through the various programs and activities it provides, World Relief helps families fleeing political or religious persecution in their own countries to begin making a new life here in the United States. This process often involves providing the necessities of day-to-day life as well as information and orientation for the new arrivals.

The Atlanta office of World Relief has one of the most diverse caseloads of the organization.  We have worked with significant numbers of refugees from Somalia, Ethiopia, Bosnia, Liberia, Burma, Iran, Russia, and Vietnam to name a few.  In addition to resettlement activities, we also offer special services such as English classes, employment placement, work incentive programs, and immigration counseling. We especially seek to use the large faith network in Atlanta to link churches and individual volunteers with the refugees in order to make this difficult transition easier and offer an opportunity for individual assistance.
